I AM BACK! and OOTD + Makeup

I have been gone for a while and I apologize. This mostly has to do with the fact that I was busy with school. I just graduated high school, and I currently getting ready for college, which I am very excited about. I plan on doing a lot of back to school/ getting ready for college posts.

My first post back is going to be an outfit of the day. I went out to breakfast with my friend, since today is the last day I'll be able to see her since she's leaving for college. We decided to go for a breakfast place by the beach. I opted to wear a floral crop top. It's different from the one pictured. But mine is black, with dainty blue, purple, pink, red white flowers on it. My shorts were light high waisted shorts. They are a little more frayed than the ones pictured because I cut mine from high waisted jeans. For a little covering, because the crop top shows a lot of skin, I put on a black and red flannel and rolled the sleeves to my elbows. I also wore a black choker and a couple of gold bracelets and finished the outfit with black converse.

OOTD: Breakfast by the Beach

For makeup, I started by using my CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation, which I blended with a stippling brush. I then set my foundation with the CoverGirl Oil Control Clean Pressed Powder, with a fluffy brush. On my cheeks, I used the "secrets" blush shade from my Nyx Revenge is Infinite Palette. I then used a Maybelline Color Tattoo as an eyeshadow base. In the crease I used "revelations" and on my lid I used "destiny", which are both from the Nyx palette. Then I used "truth" as a brow highlight, which is also from the palette. I topped my eyes off with the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. I lightly filled in my brows with my BH CosmeticsStudio Pro HD Brow Pencil and set them with the Maybelline Brow Drama clear brow gel. And lastly on my lips, I wore Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Mischievous.

Makeup for Today: 8/7/15

That is it for my outfit and makeup for today. I hope you enjoyed it. I'm also sorry I haven't been posting, but I promise I will be posting more often!

LookBook: Neon Trees Concert

I have decided to drive down to Del Mar where Neon Trees are performing a free concert. I went to see them previously for my birthday a few years ago and I'm so excited I am able to go. I thought I would share my outfit and a few more possible outfits I would have chosen to wear.
Now, this is southern California, so it is pretty warm out, but the concert is by the coast so it is expected to get cooler at night. My chosen outfit features an oversized Neon Trees black t-shirt which I have cut a little so it fits me better and tied it on the side. For bottoms I am wearing a pair of light washed high waisted shorts, which I cut myself from a pair of thrift store jeans. Around my waist I have tied a multicolored flannel shirt which I can easily put on if I get cold. I'm keeping my shoes simple and wearing some black Converse Hi Tops. It's a concert so I want to keep my hands free and not worry about a bag, so instead of bringing a purse I will just use my pockets.
LookBook: Neon Trees ConcertI have come up with 3 possible outfits with 3 different styles. The first is a very casual look, with jeans, a statement crop top, and black booties. It's very simple but also looks cute. The next look features a colorful tank top, a black and white print bodycon skirt, with heels in a contrasting color. I through in a leather jacket as an option, since it's possible you might get a little cold if you wear this. The look is a very fun party look that is perfect for this concert. The last outfit is a boho look, one of my favorite styles. I channeled my inner Coachella with a black shift dress with a little lace at the bottom, a gray flowy cardigan and some black strappy sandals.
With all of these looks, including the one I chose, I would wear very natural makeup. I'm going with a natural face, with bronzer, a neutral eye with black winged liner, and a light pink lip. Very simple and natural which is perfect for a concert.

OOTD: 8/7/13

This is a very casual look that I wore while going out with my family. My sunglasses are from Forever 21. They're very cute mint colored glasses. My shirt is from Yellowstone National Park. It is a white shirt with navy stripes. I think it is super cute. It is a little big so I tucked it into my shorts. They are dark colored denim shorts from Aeropostale. For shoes, I stuck with my red high top Converse. And that was my outfit for today. Let me know what you think in the comments.

OOTD: Possible First Day of School Looks?

School doesn't start until the end of August and I'm already trying to figure out what I should wear. I recently bought a few things, so I was hoping to incorporate them. I think I'm going to be doing a Back to School Look Book, so let me know what you guys think of these outfits.

OOTD: Fourth of July

This Fourth of July, I've decided to keep it casual. I'm going to the fair to watch fireworks with my family, so I want to be comfortable. It's super hot out, so I want make sure I stay cool. For my shirt, I'm wearing this blue tank top with blue stars. I really like the back because the straps twist into a strand and then hang down, and it creates this open area. Sorry if that was a bad explanation. I got this last year on clearance after the Fourth of July at Kohl's. My shorts are light wash denim shorts that are cuffed at the bottom. I also got these from Kohl's. For my shoes, I'm wearing my red high top Converse, which you can get at converse.com. My purse is a bright neon yellow cross body bag from Aeropostale. I believe that's it for this OOTD. Happy Independence Day!

OOTD: 6/27/13

Once I again I have gone to the fair. Today I'm mostly just going to ride the rides with my sister. For that reason I decided to make my outfit more casual. For my shirt I'm wearing a bright, neon green Avengers shirt from Hot Topic. My shorts are high waisted blue shorts from Hollister. The shoes I'm wearing are my black Converse. I also paired this with a few bracelets my friends made me and one from Kohls. I'm wearing two rings, both from the fair. One is a heart band and one is a simple ring with a jewel. I kept my hair simple and left it natural. The sunglasses I chose to wear are from Forever 21 and they are very chic mint colored glasses.

OOTD: Lazy Summer Days

In this picture I am wearing shorts from Kohl's. The are just basic medium wash denim shorts. My top is from Hot Topic. It's a muscle tank top. It's black with the face of a character on the front. This outfit is really simple and basic. Perfect for those lazy summer days.

To start of, my dress is actually a skirt from a little tourist shop. It's white and has a tribal print on it. My denim vest is from Wet Seal I believe. It's a plain denim vest, nothing special. My boots are from Kmart. They are simple brown boots, with a little bit of heel. It's not really a fancy outfit, but it's really summery. Also sorry for my messy room.

OOTD: Fair Day & Pool Day

So in this picture I am wearing my Hot Chelle Rae t-shirt. It is a black t-shirt with their faces on it, as you can see, and on the back it has a list of the cities they went to on their Whatever Tour. I got it from one of their concerts last year. (They were AMAZING!) My shorts are DIY high waisted shorts. I bought some "mom jeans" from Goodwill and cut them into shorts. They are a light wash and are frayed on the bottom. This is my "fair day" outfit. I had an amazing time and I loved this outfit.

Today was my "pool day". I went to my friend's pool and this is what I wore. For bottoms, I wore some basic shorts. I got this pair from PacSun. They are a medium wash and are frayed on the bottom. They have gotten a little short on me, but they make for great beach/pool shorts. For my shirt, I just wore a muscle tank top. It's from Lake Tahoe, and says Lake Tahoe. It's almost a denim colored shirt. I actually think it's a guys shirt but I really like it. My bikini is just a plain red color. I got it from Walmart for about $6 I think, so it's a pretty good buy.

OOTD: Possibilities

This weeks OOTD is a little different. It's our last few weeks of school and I'm trying to make them memorable. I want to put a little more effort into my outfits than the basic jeans and a t-shirt. Now you may be wondering, "What is she going to do instead of OOTD?" Well, my friends, that is a brillant question. Instead of OOTD, I'll be posting my outfit inspirations or "Possibilities", which is the name of this post. Each day I'm going to try to recreate these looks with only the stuff in my closet. I am getting most of these pictures from Polyvore. You can see the source of the picture by clicking on it. Hopefully I will be able to recreate these outfits, and I will post all my recreations next Thursday. Now I could keep talking about this all day, but let's just jump in to it.

OOTD: 5/22/13-5/24/13

This OOTD I'll be sharing my outfits for yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
  1. My outfit from yesterday was kinda more on the "country chic" side. I wore a denim vest from Wet Seal, borrowed from my sisters closet. Its well fitted and the edges are frayed. My boots are from Kmart. They are just plain brown booties. My dress is from a local store. Its a very cute red coral color. Plus there's tribal print all over the dress. You can barely see it unless you're close, but it still adds cute detail.
  2. Today I was very basic. I wore a kinda baggy black t-shirt from Forever 21. My jeans are very skinny jeggings from PacSun. These just happen to be my favorite jeans, I have like 5. My scarf is from Target. It's a mint color infinity scarf. My hair bow is a DIY. It was inspired by MacBarbie07 and you can see her tutorial here. My sandals are from Aeropostal. You guys always here me talk about them so I'm gonna save you guys from hearing about them this time.
  3. My outfit tomorrow is very laid back. I'm only going to school for half the day, so I figured I might as well be comfortable. My yoga pants are from Kohls. And I am OBSESSED with these things. They're so comfortable and flattering, and these ones have stars at the top, which makes them look super cute. I'm also going to be wearing my Adidas flip flops, and I forgot where I got them from. But they have some kind of foam padding, which makes them super comfy.  Finally, for my shirt I'm wearing my Red Cross T-shirt. I got this by donating blood yesterday. And let me just say I HATE NEEDLES!
