Book Nook: Paper Towns by John Green

I am in love with The Fault in Our Stars and it's author, John Green. It is a given fact. So I have decided to read all of his books. This review is for his book, Paper Towns. Now I wouldn't know if I would like it because I had know clue what it was about. I just knew I had to read it because it was a John Green book. And I am here to tell you I didn't like it, I LOVED it. I don't think it's as good as The Fault in Our Stars but it's definitely better than half the books I've read.
Paper Towns is about Q. Q is a boy in love with his next door neighbor, Margo. Margo is sort of like an "it" girl and Q is friends with the band geeks. Margo being the Margo that she is, invites Q on the night of his life. And the next day Margo is missing. Q makes it his mission to find her. You travel with Q as he follows Margo's clues.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love this story and think it's perfect. But the entire time I was reading this I always had a different ending in mind. It was kind of the stereotypical ending for all romance movie and books. But that's probably the reason I like John Green's books so much, because he doesn't write the stereotypical endings. Even through the story didn't end the way I was thinking, and secretly hoping it would, it's still a great ending and I think it was a sort of happy ending. All in all, this book is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone

The reason I started reading this book is because I wanted to see the movie but I never went to go see it.  I have now finished the book and saw the movie. Which do I like better? The movie. I never realized how different some movies are from the books until I watched this movie. For the most part the story follows the same story. But there are a few major differences in the movie. That may be why I like the movie more, though.
This book is about Pat, a man who is just getting released from a neural health facility. He is struggling to remember events of his past and all he can think about is ending apart time with his wife Nikki. This book takes you on Pat's journey as he tries to get Nikki back and his awkward friendship he develops with a girl named Tiffany. That doesn't really sum up the whole book but those are two of the main parts. The book, although a little weird to me, is very well written.

Book Nook: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

The Fault in Our Stars. John Green. There are no words to describe this book or it's author. This is my favorite book of all time, hands down. The emotions, the journey, everything is just so amazing. It's so hard to describe, but I'm going to do my best.
The book revolves around cancer patient Hazel Grace. She goes to this support group for cancer patients. There she meets Augustus Waters, who is a cancer survivor. I'm not going to give away too much of the story, but as you guys can probably guess, there's a spark between them.
Now we all know that stories revolving around cancer will most likely not be a happy ending. And it wasn't really, but at the same time it was. That's probably pretty confusing, and some of you may not agree, but that's my perspective.
Anyone who has not read this book is missing out. This book is full of heartbreak and love and tears and smiles. This is my favorite book and I'm sure if you read it, it will be your favorite.

Book Nook: Night by Elie Wiesel

I have recently read this book for my English class. It's a very quick book. I think it's less than 100 pages. You could easily read it in a day. Normally I don't enjoy reading books assigned in class, but I liked this one. I also don't normally like nonfiction. It's not exactly a happy book, but it's still interesting and I recommend it.

This book Elie's memoir. Elie is a Holocaust survivor. He's wrote this book about his time during the Holocaust. You are taken on a captivating journey as you go through what Elie went through as a Jew during the holocaust. You travel with him from his hometown to various concentration camps. This book shows you how much pain and loss these people went through. It's not a very happy, uplifting book, but it's definitely a great quick book that everyone must read.
